Nice, but buggy

I have had 3, and they all suffer from the spontaneous Play glitch.

The Bottom Line:
I want to like this radio, but its software problems force me to rate it as one to avoid.
There is much to like about this nightstand clock radio. It is a nice size, and has a rather solid build quality to it. The controls are neatly layed out, and the green LED display is quite readable, day or night. HOWEVER, at random intervals day and night the CD player will start playing for no apparent reason. The first one did this during the entire 2 years I owned it, until the CD section failed, obviously from overuse. I went back to Wal-Mart recently and was pleased to see them, and they were even cheaper. So I purchased a replacement and the very first nite the darned thing started up in the middle of the night all by itself, just like its predecessor. Sooooo, I bundled it up and returned it for another. Guess what? The second (and my third) did the exact same thing. I'm surprised that Wal-Mart hasn't gotten this fixed as there were two years between the manufacture date of the first one and the others. Oh Well, I suppose I'll bundled the second one up and return it, which is a shame because the bottom line is that that it's a cute, highly functional, inexpensively priced CD clock radio.
