A so-so DVD Recorder
Update to my original post. After a year, still plays DVD well, but the recorder does not always record properly. Sometime it will hit a bad patch and the DVD becomes unreadable. Mostly Problems Arise

Easy to use
This dvd recorder works fine. It is easy to use and it has progressive scan for my hdtv and it has a firewire port for my camcorder. I highly recommed it. Read full review »
Disappointed
I've had this unit for a week now. It plays DVD video fine and makes very good recordings from TV. I also liked the jpeg CD slideshow feature. Now for the bad news. Works well
We bought this DVD recorder to record training sessions straight from the dv-cam to DVD.
It first takes some practice to find your way in the menu unless you read the manual first.
The quality of the video is adjustable to SP, LP, SLP and the quality depends on that.

Piece of junk
I purchased one of these last July. The first one I rec'd did not work at all and had to be shipped back to retailer. The replacement worked fine - for two months and stopped working completely. Piece of crap !
Worked decent for less than 6 months and then rarely plays a DVD never mind recording one, and it only has a 60 day warrantee!
Stay away from this piece of junk and make sure you don't purchase it.
