Cons
Annoyingly sensitive right mouse button
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Definitely buy it, but keep the receipt handy just in case. The right-click mouse problem I've described may be what makes you want to return it, but take heart.
I have had my Trackman Marble since December, and I must say that it is remarkably easy to use, and a wonderfully precise instrument. I have a laptop, and the touchpad, while good, gets annoying at times, to the point where I'm frustrated with it. I decided to buy a trackball mouse to save space, time, and energy, and the Logitech fits the bill wonderfully, on top of being well-priced, and from my experience, durable beyond my expectations. It has fallen off the edge of my workspace, and has continued to function as though nothing has happened, save for the trackball itself popping out (Easily popped back in). Smooth scrolling, wonderful ergonomic design, and a GREAT price point are what make this mouse worth it. Additionally, I'm surprised at how precise the movements are with this mouse, especially since I believed the opposite to be true. The mouse is quite precise, and you'll find yourself using it more than any other mouse around the house.
The only fault I've found, however, is that the mouse buttons are a tad too closely spaced. This makes it possible to unintentionally right-click the mouse quite often, bringing up that annoying auxiliary menu. The right-click is awfully sensitive, so it is possible to do it by accident repeatedly (depending on how big your fingers are). For me it's a nagging problem, but it doesn't outweigh the good about this product.
