I bought this product so that i could see what all the hype about optical mice was, and I figured if i was to get an optical mouse, I might as well get one that is cordless too. I plugged this mouse in and i was amazed. I hopped right on Medal Of Honor Allied Assault (an on-line multiplayer game), to see how it could preform. It actually made the game easier than with the conventional mouse. Don't believe me if you don't want to but it really did make a difference in gameplay.

This mouse, is optical, which means that it does not have a ball in the bottom of it to detect when it is moving but an optical sensor. There is no ball to get stuck or dirty. Without a ball the mouse can move better and smoother on your computer. After using an optical mouse, no matter what, I will never go back to using a conventional mouse, that has a ball.

On top of the wonderful invention of optical mice, this mouse is also cordless. With this nifty product from Logitech, you are no longer tethered to your computer. The mouse has a second part that connects to your computer and sits on your desk like a transmitter. This "transmitter" is what tells your computer when the mouse is moving. That's the catch to your mouse being "cordless". But, even with this small device on your desktop the mouse feels much more free. I have always had problems with the cords of mice i have to keep adjusting how much is on the desk and how much isn't. I think they make the cords too long and I would constantly be adjusting my cord.
