The Story:
I had just purchased a dual core computer but it did not have the option for a decent wireless keyboard. So I decided the go on the hunt for something different. The computer is located in my front room behind my flat screen television. So the keyboard would have to be sturdy in its own right, almost its own table top. It also had to have a decent range so the person would not be stuck in front of the screen – but could freely move about the room. After searching several electronic retailers I stumbled upon this keyboard at BestBuy and decided I did not want to wait to order this online, so I paid the extra money and took it home. The keyboard is just amazing for my application, read on for more info.

Design:
Sleek, skinny, yet sturdy. It is virtually the same QWERTY design as other keyboards, it is the casing around the keyboard that separates it. They managed to shrink everything down to create an ultra sleek ultra thin keyboard. The black and silver color scheme gives a very modern high tech appearance.
Functionality:
It's wireless using Radio Frequency as the medium. It has a built in status LED light that will alert you when your batteries are dying. Using a “Smart Power Management” system, it can help batteries endure up to 6 months or maybe even more. There is even a LED status light on the mouse as well.
Logitech knows that nearly everyone uses their computer for Music and Photography. So they added rotate, zoom, and several other buttons to help you navigate your pictures and media. They a whole set of music buttons on the right side, volume, mute, play and more.
Other:
The mouse is optical, which is great but requires a mouse pad or book to use, since I sit on the sofa or chair. The good points of the mouse are the tilt wheel feature. But since I primarily use the keyboard, it's not that big of a problem. The best functions are the function keys, they are programmable so you can have them open Microsoft word, Internet Explorer, or program it to open World of Warcraft. The keyboard claims to have a wrist wrest, but it is virtually non existent.
These are battery operated, 2 AAA and 2 AA required for the mouse and keyboard. It would be nice to have a recharable version, I am sure some day they will release a newer version. There is a CD with software and a help center to get you going and program the keyboard. Comes with a 5-year limited warranty, not a one year, that shows you how much faith they have in their product.
In the End:
I haven't had any complaints yet, the keyboard is amazing. If there was one thing I would change it would be the mouse, I prefer a larger ergonomically correct mouse, small mouses tend to hurt my hands after more than 45 minutes of use. Remember this is for Windows PC and not Macs. It requires USB ports, if you don't have any it has a PS/2 converter. In the end, it is a great lightweight durable keyboard that works for flowing environments.
If you can handle a three day wait, buy it from amazon for only $47.99 no tax and free shipping and handling.
