The Bottom Line:
This speaker set works, but not well. Take the money and spend a little extra towards a better quality system.
I purchased this speaker set with two expectations. Number one, it provide me with quiet quality music at my desk at work and number two, it would charge my MP3 player when plugged in with the AC adapter. Bottom line, this set failed tremendously on both of those points.
The speaker system is decent but doesn't have a low volume setting; its low is around regular medium volume. The lowest setting was too loud to use at work, I couldn’t' hear over the music when I was on a phone call. As long as used on low-medium volume it provide a decent sounding stream of music but should you surpass the medium level you will get a very poor quality sound…echoing, static, etc.
The biggest let down I had was having my MP3 player die at the end of the day. I was under the impression (in part from the sales guy) that if you plugged in the speaker they would charge your ipod. This is false. Also, just to add, I always keep my AC plug with me because this speaker will drain a set of batteries everyday.
In the end, you get what you pay for this speaker set. It’s low quality and while it works you will wish you had better. I say spend the extra money and get a good set you will be happy with.
