Pioneer DEH-P3700MP is a nice 1st upgrade to my stock Alpine BMW 10 speaker AM/FM Cassette system. I wanted to get better feint FM reception and got it. I wanted to "fix" the left front section of my broken "5 watt" amp. I soldered the Pioneer harness in and soldered many wires in the trunk to bypass the amp. To use the stock speakers after losing the crossovers that BMW puts in the amp, I put bass blockers from Stinger, one for tweeters on my front tweeters and one for 3" on my front 3" speakers. I also needed an antenna converter fron Circuit City $12. My son made me an MP3 CD with 137 songs and it sounds excellent. AM is fine too. CD player is fine too. The metal Pioneer Head unit nest really went well into the dash with bending some tabs. Getting the BMW 5 sided allen heads out was no trouble.
