I bought the Pioneer DEH-P3700MP as a replacement for my DUAL MP3/CD player that was destroyed in a car accident. There is no comparison between the 2 units. This is a far superior product.
Starting with the sound, with good speakers, there is enough power, to pump out good sound for the above average audiophile. There are numerous settings that allow one to customize to your tastes.
Unlike my previous unit from DUAL, the Pioneer does not over heat, will play MP3's without freezing up or skipping and ID tags are easy to read.
I had to use the manual a lot at first for the settings, but I don't adjust them much after the initial set up.
Controls are easy to find while driving. When the faceplate is removed, the remaining black finish matches my dash.
20 years ago when I needed my music loud, I would have needed an exterior amp, but this product is perfect for a middle aged man who enjoys music and listening to audio books.
