So good I bought a second one!

Pros It worked as I expected, what more could I want?<br>
Cons A double wide PCI-E video card covers one of the PCI slots.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Of the last 10 motherboards that I have built systems from, I can't see spending more money for the value received from this board.
After having a rather poor experience with the Intel DP35DP motherboard, I bought the MSI P45 Neo-3 FR. The implementation of the board, and in particular the sometimes tricky RAID subsystem went like clockwork. Excellent all around quality in the packaging and supplied hardware. Cables supplied looked to be of high quality as well.  Documentation was well written and a pleasure to deal with. This is a full featured board for a mid-range price. To me, quite a value.

Very nice board for the overclocking enthusiast. BIOS control of FSB voltage, core voltage, and CPU voltage, along with clock speed increments make the overclocking process rather nice. Multiple LEDs on the board are great indicators of what the board status is during power up. If you go "a little crazy", the board is rather forgiving, 3 reboots after a failed overclock parameter, a message lets you recover rather painlessly.

I bought a second board and use the primary one for my softwre development business. The second one is running an overclocked Quad Core processor and I'm using it for graphics work - awesome.
I just might pick up a third to have a "cold spare" in the unlikely event of one of the boards tanking.  I would try to find another board with the optional IEEE1394 feature. The 800MHZ firewire is very effective for transferring photo data from RAW camera files.
