Two Thumbs up on 6000T
Having quite of few built-in navigation systems in my other vehicles, I was skeptical of a portable unit for my new car purchased without Navigation.
Although the factory units weren't always perfect, they seemed to provide advanced functionality compared to retail nav units.

Magellan Tech Support- Not worth buying GPS
I purchased a refurbished RoadMate 6000T. I have used it in Canada, Washington and Colorado. When it is working it works great. The screen is easy to use and directions are clear and accurate. Unit OK, customer service, worst in the industry
I liked the unit, although for the money, the new Tom Tom looks like it has more features.
The unit has a tendency to lock up from time to time.
The main problem came when it was time to do the annual upgrade.

dont waste your money on this product
bought me a magellan 6000t. Paid 700 for it just last year and now its DOA. Trying to get any info from their tech support is a nightmare. Their support base is in India. Cant even understand them. Magellan - the worst tech support ever
Don't even consider a Magellan GPS. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any industry. This GPS was largely a disappointment. It had a tendency to take awhile to find a signal, and it was always falling off my windshield.
