RUN AWAY!!!!!!!

Pros price...wait no I paid $200 for a piece of JUNK
Cons MAGELLAN!!!
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!!!!
Let me start by saying if you are considering purchasing one of these..put it down and RUN to the nearest exit...that little "tidbit" is for free. I purchased this unit to do a little Geocaching on February 18 of 2008. Out of the box it was a great little machine. Small, sleek, color screen, semi easy to use, and on our first geocache, it took us right where we neededd to be. We used it two more times with no problems, then the fun began. I added a geocache one sunday and recieved a "Fatal Application Error" message and the unit froze. I took the batteries out and re-tried...same thing. I attempted several more times to get it to work and then it did...wait....no it didnt. My longitude and lattitude coordinates were exactly the same, the unit was going haywire. I called Magellan...which by the way is in India and tried to get my money back for the unit since it was only 35 days old. Their policy states that they will replace but not refund your money; soooooo... you are at the mercy of Magellan. I finally talked with a person I could semi understand and he told me there was an instant fix to our problem...it didnt work. Oh by the way...the USB cable to hook the unit to your computer to download updates...yeah..mine doesnt work either. It connects then disconnects, the it reconnects but it disconnects. I called yet AGAIN.... they will offer to repair but now they wont even replace the product. I'll have to mail it to INDIA to the service center and then wait for it to be repaired and wait for it to be mailed back to me..FROM INDIA!! So I guess I'll have to put all our Geocaching plans on hold..... or I could do what I should have done in the beginning...GO BUY A GARMIN and throw this Magellan in the middle of the road and watch an 18 wheeler run it over... I think I'll do that for fun and mail Magellan the pieces..................
VERY DISAPPOINTED.. and as for Magellan...SHAME ON YOU!!!!
