Worth the Price
I purchased the 1440 unit last week for a trip to San Diego. I am generally pleased with its performance. Consumer Reports gave it a 68 'very good' out of 73 rating and Costco had it on sale that week. The cost ($79) more than made up for the $10/day the car rental agency would have charged... Not too crazy with this unit
I am a Realtor and 100% rely on GPS. Purchased RoadMate 1440 and soon started hating lift. First, the unit takes awfully a long time to boot. My 386 used to be much faster 20 years ago.
