Magnavox MPD845 8.5 in. Portable DVD Player

I bought the DVD player right before I deployed for entertainment on the 30 some hour flight to Iraq. It worked great at first but after about one week it started to skip towards the end of the DVD/CD that I had in. At first I thought it was my Disks but I looked at it a little more carefully and realized that there are felt cushions on the bottom of the player and the top. The felt cushions on the top of the player was hitting the disk and making it skip. Why it took a week to start messing up, I do not know. After I removed the Felt cushions from the top of the player it worked fine. The speakers don't work all to great either. You have to adjust the volume a lot to get the speakers to work. If you use headphones the audio works great and is more than loud enough. Other than that the Philips Magnavox MPD845 really is a great DVD Player.
