Don't buy...has a history of dying after limited use
Pros
Records nicely, good playback.
Cons
Will completley stop working after limited use.
Recommended it?
No
Bought this unit in August 2005 and used it very little but seemed fine and like a practical purchase. The record function is great but takes a little time to understand/navigate. The playback is superb compared to my other DVD player.
But...the biggest thing is that in January 2006, the unit just stopped working. Wouldn't power on, wouldn't eject the disc that was still inside, wouldn't do anything. Have searched a little bit and have found that many others have run into this same problem. Customer Service is a joke..they have an automated call system that takes forever to navigate through. And even though I live in Dallas, the only option they gave me is to ship the entire unit with the DVD still inside to Arkansas. Am guessing I'll never see the DVD again and have no clue when to expect the unit back or what will even happen now. Also not thrilled that I now have to pay shipping to get the unit repaired.
Bottom line, don't buy this model as it appears to have a history of poor reliability.
