Startup times are pretty slow. Nearly 45 seconds from coldstart till movie plays.

this is perhaps the first Blu Ray player to be found for under $100. I'd been waiting to get a PS3 when its price dropped but when this item came on I made the leap.
The unit comes with a suitable amount of outputs such as HDMI, component, composite spdif. I haven't really mucked around with the menus but they generally don't matter to me. The picture quality is great in both Batman The Dark Knight and American Psycho. I'm powering sound through two Sony SF-S7000 speakers through a Harmon Kardon HTR and the sound is rich and clear. For the price this is a great entry level blu ray player
