A Tale of Audiophilic Depravity . . .

Another excellent receiver, but is this really the best value?
If you're reading this review, it's obviously very likely that you know exactly what we're dealing with here...Marantz is clearly upper echelon stuff, and the SR7200 is no exception. Good but not BEST
Having heard a lot about the Marantz brand, I was expecting a great deal more out of this receiver than I got. I purchased it for $720 at Cambridge Soundworks and compared it side by side to various other receivers.
The Sr7200 has ok sound and ok movie playback, but both were not spectacular...

Great value for 5.1 systems
I've had this receiver for four years now and it's still going strong. It definitely lives up to the Marantz reputation. The sound is clean yet powerful.
