Marantz ZR6001SP 7.1 Channels Receiver

I came across this receiver while browsing my local Brandsmart USA. My father-in-law turned me onto Marantz as that is what he has powering a beautiful sounding set of Vandersteens in his theater room. Unfortunately I did not have the budget to build the home theater that I desired but was constantly browsing the local audio/video stores for my own personal amusement. I strolled into the Brandsmart audio cove not really paying much attention to the equipment on their shelves and I was so accustom to seeing low powered, over-priced receivers that I knew would only leave me desiring more in the long-run. I came across this particular Marantz largely in part because of the price. I do not remember the exact price but it was below $400 out the door. Upon further inspection of this receiver I became increasingly interested and further blown away by all the features and the (what I felt was a) ridiculously low price. 95 watts x 7, 4 digital inputs, a not so wonderful but really neat multi-room radio. I checked Marantz's website and they were saying the receiver's MSRP was in the $1,400 range and based on the features of this receiver in comparison to other receivers they offer I would expect it to sell for nearly this much! I have this receiver hooked up as my 5.1 HT receiver that plays my DVDs and XBOX. Unfortunately I am in an apartment and have yet to be able to take full advantage of this receiver's capability. I would fully recommend this receiver to anyone who knows the Marantz name and quality! For me this was the deal of the year!
