These CD-RWs fail at random no matter what recorder they are used with. Over the last 2 years I have tried 7-8 different recorders and full-erased the discs a bunch of times, same behavior. In fact maxell's DVD-RWs (yellow) don't work worth a dam either. Maxell provides u wasted time and lost data. Boycott this crappy company!
