The Bottom Line:
Not worth the extra money for motors
This telescope is designed to be mobile and it fits well in the car. It comes with two different lenses. Using the strongest Jupitor looks to be the size of a large drop of water. It can pick excellent detail out of the moon and thousands of craters suddenly emerge, even when using the weaker lense. It has motot controls that are really cool-when they work. On mine they worked alright for a few times. They were very intermiddent and sometimes they just died. Now they don't work at all. If you have to option of saving money and getting one without motors it would be a great deal because this telescope is very easy to control manually. I am able to track moving objects like aircraft across the sky with ease, it just takes a little getting used too.
The price is a little excessive, but sometimes cheap models appear on sites like ubid.com . I used Amazon.com.
