Looks cool, but is flawed
The ETX-90 was hailed by Sky and Telescope and many others when it first appeared as the dream telescope everyone had been waiting for. It looked really cool. A big disappointment- but it helped me define WHAT I wanted
I've always been intrigued by astronomy and wanted a telescope to explore the solar system. I finally bought an ETX90 with high expectations. The first thing I discovered was it's hard to set up a telescope for accurate orientation to the North Star if you have limited visibility to the north!

Affordable Quality Telescope
The ETX 90EC telescope is actually a very affordable telescope for those on a budget and brand new to astronomy. It offers excellent optics for the money and is priced in the $500-600 range. It can offer fun for the entire family.
