LX90 is a Great Scope ...BUY IT!!
Pros
Great Optics, Computer and Quality
Cons
Could come with a better Diagonal.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
The optics are Great and the support is good. This is the only scope you will ever need...unless you trying to discover a new planet or something!
What an amazing scope! I love the optics and the Autostar computer. The learning curve is not too bad...I never had a SCT computerized scope before, but I learned within a few sessions and have been enjoying myself ever since.
I that kept the scope in Alt/AZ mode and have still not some planetary and deep sky photography with my Nikon 4500, Canon 300D and the LPI planetary imager. This scope is just wonderful!
Is it worth the Price? YES!
What accessories should I get?
Please get the UHTC coating, it is a big boon to the brightness of the images.
Get yourself a better diagonal that the stock one. (Eyepieces that come with it are fine though!)
Get a Dew Sheild, or even a dew heater so that you can stay out longer!
Get Starry Night, so that you can learn the heavens...do let anyone tell you that with a computerized scope you will not learn the heavens as you do with a manual scope...its just not true!
This scope is just right for me....the 10 inch is just a little bigger than I can cart in and out of the house.
Not that you will have to learn how to collimate your scope, but you would have to do that with any reflector.
I GIVE THIS PRODUCT 5 STARS!!
I have owned manual scopes previous...but this is the one I have used the most...in fact...after writing about it...I want to take it out tonight!!
