Best printer/scanner for the money

The Bottom Line:
Great printer for the money and what we use it for. Bottom line; my wife's happy, I'm happy.
I'm glad I found this printer at Staples for $71. It wasn't even on display and they only had three left in the store. I think it may be last year's model. My wife needed something to scan articles and receipts for her home office. Why pay more for the fax option when you can just scan it and attach it in an e-mail?
We had trouble in the beginning installing it but it was probably my fault. My wife went back, uninstalled what I did, then started over and followed the directions exactly. The install cd is very loud in our disc drive but who cares. It has been installed and working correctly for almost 3 weeks now. We got this printer just in time to print our christmas letters and envelope addresses. The envelopes work great once you set it up. I just clicked print in MS Word for all the addresses, then loaded one envelope in the slot, pressed the Resume button on the printer, watched it print, then loaded the next envelope, and on and on. We had two color pictures on our letters that came out fine. We printed 50 letters and envelopes and we're still going on the two original black and color cartridges that was in the box with the printer. If we get at least 2 good years out of this printer I'll be satisfied after the money we paid for it. I wouldn't be surprised if we have it for longer. Plus it's black in color and simple in design and matches the rest of our computer equipment.
