Great for daytime viewing - NOT recommended for nighttime viewing.
I am completely new to the realm of telescopes, and so I read just a tiny bit before going out and buying this achromatic telescope.
It is best suited for daytime and land viewing - NOT for night time planet, star and nebula viewing.

Meade NGC-60 telescope
I found that the Meade NGC-60 is an excellent inexpensive telescope for the beginner.
The best price I found was at Wal-Mart ($150.00) and the package included about everything you need starting out for the first time. The package included four eyepieces (SR4mm, H9mm, H12.5, and H25mm)...
