Memorex MHD8021 (2 GB) MP3 Player

I bought this because it was on 50% off clearance at Target. I got it home, and it wouldn't do anything. Nothing. It connects to the USB port, and claims that it's charging, only when you disconnect it, it will not turn on. I've updated the firmware, and followed every step in the manual (there are about 4 steps), but to no avail. The customer support is a joke, with a badly-read script to simply wait because of higher-than-expected call volume. Two e-mails in a week not returned, even though they "guarantee" to return them within 48 hours. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MEMOREX. They're garbage.

Now, I'm stuck with this piece of trash because Target will only exchange opened electronics, and I've already exchanged it twice, taking all three MHD8021s the store had in stock. All three have acted the same way.
