Memorex MHD8021 (2 GB) MP3 Player

I bought this player in hopes that I could use it as a mp3 player and a portable hard drive, exactly what Memorex claims it will do. Ha! Right when I opened it up I sensed that it would not work. So I carefully read all instructions, very brief with no explanations, following each step. The player never turned on and would only flash its back lit display at me when plugged into the power source. I tried reformatting, reseting, and updating firmware to no success. When I tried contacting Memorex for a week strait, ringing up my cell phone minutes because they only take calls between 9am and 4pm eastern exactly the time when I am at school, I was put on hold for 30 min. with no answer not even music. I will be returning this piece of trash to the store.
