Memorex MHD8021 (2 GB) MP3 Player

I purchased 2 MHD8021 MP3 players for x-mas gifts. The storage size and price were a big factor as well as the name Memorex. Neither of the units will turn on after charging and I can't return them to the store for a replacement as they no longer carry them. I have been trying since 12.26 to contact customer service for instructions for returning the units. Email requests resulted in auto responses of FAQs. The customer service number is a toll call, and after navigating through the automated attendent for 3 minutes you receive a message that their support center is experiencing high volumes and not accepting any additional calls, call back later. A call to the corporate office revealed that there was no one working during this week, and that their customer support department was not in. The biggest gift giving holiday of the year and there is no support team??? What is this company thinking?

This is another example of a company that previously had good products and the reputation to go with it. After this experience Memorex joins the ever growing list of companies that put out junk and have abandoned their customers.
