Kept freezing-up after 1 week of use

This model, I learned, is basically the same as the Initial IDM-1731. I checked for a review on the Memorex Model MM-7000 before buying it at Sears (~$195), but there was no review. The unit stopped working after about a week. It kept freezing up during movies and finally wouldn't load any CDs. I returned it to Sears and received a full refund.
Feel free to avoid this portable DVD, because the product quality just isn't there.
