Mid-Range Wireless Desktop

Pros Priced right, Solid product all the bells and whistles.
Cons Not much really, wish it had lights on it though.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I would reccommend this product as a replacement to a stock keyboard and mouse. It has all the functions you will use and some you will learn to use.
I was in the market for a wireless desktop mainly to have less wires in my study. There are more economical products and more expensive setups as well but this one seemed to meet all of my needs and not leave me broke.

Setup was quite simple. I ran the included software then plugged it in. All I had to do was select my keyboard and mouse from a drop down menu and I was done.

The keyboard is of the ergonomic natural type. It is my first one of its kind and so it takes some getting used to but not terrible. I was able to setup my Top 5 web pages with the hot keys. It has full Microsoft Office and Media Player support with hot keys for media, volume control and most Office functions such as cut, copy, paste even a hotkey for spellcheck and to open the calculator. If that weren't enough it has hotkeys for mail, gadgets,my documents and VOIP calling. The only thing I wish the keyboard had was the lights most keyboards have for num lock and caps lock. They are actually on the reciever which I had originally intended to hide behind my tower. Now I keep it beside my monitor.

The mouse uses laser technology as opposed to optical technology. I don't know the difference but there isn't a red light like my last mouse. It is very sensitive out of the box and so I had to turn down the pointer speed. The scroll wheel has 4 way scrolling and a really nice feature. When you click on the wheel all your windows come up as big thumbnails and you just click on the one you want. In addition to the normal mouse buttons you also have a side button on each side. The left one defaults to page back in Internet Explorer and the right one defaults to zoom. I found it to be too sensitive and so mine is disabled. It is a very responsive mouse and It works well for gaming as well. I use it for COD4 all the time.
