Having friends who purchased this product, I know it is not a great value. When I visit their house to recover my gamertag, it takes a good five to ten minutes. Comparatively, it takes about two to three minutes on my fifty foot wired ethernet cable. Granted that the speed may be effected by a number of different problems such as their connection service and router. My set up to a Fiber Optic internet service usually works out pretty well, very little lagging and connection to the internet is a breeze.

Still, even though never owning this product, I did come in conflict at one time deciding whether or not to choose this wireless xbox connection over a wired ethernet connection. At first I considered the price: at the time, this device cost about $100 and for a fifty foot cable that could stretch across my house it was about $50 to $60. With the regular cable, I was also guaranteed a great connection at all times. One of two friends that I've seen used this product has his internet connection kicked off of the xbox every time somebody in his house picked up a wireless land line phone. He would have to exit his current game and go to the reconfiguration settings and try again.

However, I can see that using a wireless internet connection can be useful if it is difficult to connect your xbox to a router in another portion of the house. That being said, you probably have no other choice then to buy this product.
