MLi 698 speakers
Pros
Price, good for normal use
Cons
not good if you want high quality sound
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
If your don't care a big deal about sound, then I would recommend these speakers because they are cheap. If you like quality music, then bypass these.
These speakers are sort of average or maybe a little below average. They are at the bottom for price because they were VERY cheap. So I would recommend you buy them if you don't listen to music or use sound that much.
The sound quality for these speakers is ok. If the volume isn't set too high, I get a clear sound. But when I set the volume past three-quarters, the sound starts to get distorted there is no sub-woofer on these speakers, so I can hardly hear any base. I just use these speakers to listen to the windows start up, or the "uh-oh" from ICQ. If I'm listening to music, then I set these aside and hook my computer up to my big speakers.
There isn't much in the box when you open it. Just 2 speakers, and 2 cords. It's really easy to install, just plug the power in the outlet and in the back of one of the speakers. Then you plug the other wire to the back of your computer. You don't need any CDs or anything. The speakers are pretty small. Each one is about the size of a box of envelopes. There's two buttons, a power button and a volume knob. There's also a headphone jack.
