I'm aware of a 9xi that has:
a.) Trudged through rivers on landscape shoots (admittedly it doesn't like water, but when it dried out it worked just fine).
b.) Shoot over 100 children in Halloween costumes in under 4 hours, resulting in over 500 great photos.
c.) Shot dozens of model portfolios.
d.) Caught the action of athletic events from pro rodeo to high school basketball games.
e.) Even shot a high school dance in the dark.
f.) Been in the middle of a forest fire shooting through smoke and ash.
g.) Used by kids as well as professionally
I have never encountered a camera with the capabilities and speed of the 9xi. Mine has proven to be durable, flexible, affordable, and easy to use. It is approximately 7 years old now and never been back to the shop. If it ever dies, I promise to look for one just like it. I swear by this camera, which is something when it comes from someone who financially depends on it.
If you ever get a chance to purchase one that is in your budget - do it quick.
