I know this is misplaced under the Maxxum 9 heading. Kindly overlook this error while Epinions creates additional categories for older camera equipment.

Pros It is simply an outstanding camera full of features.
Cons manual focusing not user friendly
Recommended it? Yes

I'm aware of a 9xi that has:
a.) Trudged through rivers on landscape shoots (admittedly it doesn't like water, but when it dried out it worked just fine).
b.) Shoot over 100 children in Halloween costumes in under 4 hours, resulting in over 500 great photos.

Pros Reasonable price for what it is. APO lenses!
Cons Not a Leica. And no rental lenses, at least not in Boston.
Recommended it? Yes

Although I do not own this product, I plan on upgrading soon. I own a Maxxum 9xi, and an 8000i (In fact, I own a 7000, also, but I don't shoot with it.).

I am a long time user of Maxxum cameras, from the first generation to the latest. Minolta has taken everything they have learned over the past 15 years of building these things, and distilled the best of all their models right here.

Pros I has used Samsung-Minolta Dynax 7000i from 1992 imported from Japan...Now I use...
Cons Advanced Technology ,reasonable price, and stronger body with lenses are needed...
