I bought my Minolta 135mm f/2.8 lens secondhand and it is an older model and it has aged well. I paid $50 for it six years ago when a local camera shop was selling off its camera hardware because they were converting to just a one hour processing and supplies shop. Its optics are of top quality, as with all other Minolta lenses. All the controls are silky smooth, another Minolta quality. 135mm is the perfect focal length for doing portraits, and other detailed close up artistic shots in construction sites, airports, and abandoned buildings. I use it with my Minolta X-700 and my Minolta SRT-101. The only flaw is the red dot that you line up with the red dot on the camera body has fallen off sometime in the past (I bought it that way, but it is easy to find the depressed circle where it once was to line up with the red dot on the camera body).
