Mio 136 - 3.5 in. Car GPS Receiver

I am a sales rep and need a navigation system like you need water to live. Took a shot at this one and ordered it on a Sunday. Arrived on following Tuesday. For purchase purposes, I used an Ebayer by the name of Auctionmount. Probably the Most trustworthy and my personal best transaction in my 6 years using Ebay. On to the Item. About the size of your standard IPAQ, maybe a little thicker. Solid polymer casing, no cheap, chintzy thin plastic. The box is loaded with goodies. Earphones, 256 memory card, protective case, Application Software, Map CD's, Card reader software. It has a card reader, a USB extension about 3 ft long and a direct connect USB cord that can go straight to the unit itself. AC adapter with separate DC adapter as well. Also has a car mount. Sturdy mount but does not attach to windshield. Super Velcro to attach anywhere or screws for permanent mounting. Mounting arm swivels and twists like a slinky, but it is actually made of two main plates with 360 mounts and two hinged arms. All told it won't extender farther than about 4 inches from it's mounting point. Unit fires right up and has a great display. Seems to be very complete and pretty easy to use. Navigating through the menus is a lot like using Windows 98 or 2000. Gotta open one menu to get to another one etc. There is an external spot to screw in an external antennae if desired. Speaker is plenty loud, but won't be heard over you car music if it is blaring. Memory card can hold about 1 or 2 "territories". I live in North Carolina and some of the Carolina's are split up in the Mio Map portion. I therefore need to get a larger card to accommodate all the territory. 512 should be sufficient. Stylus included can be used on the screen or your finger if you are deft with it. Overall, i would rate this a 4 out of 5 stars since there are a few minor inconveniences listed below as it goes right out of the box. And all but a couple of the items can be fixed with aftermarket parts. But maps/operating system are great.

CONS: Mount not great for every application. Hitting "enter" in center of directional pad can be missed every now and then.
If you travel from state to state, a larger memory card is necessary in order to fit them all
