When I purchased my 45" Mitsubishi TV, see review '45" of viewing pleasure, I decided I would replace my tired old VCR. I know the VCR is old technology by now but the deal I got on the Mitsubishi HS-U440 made it a no brainer.

The unit I got was a store demo in out of the box shape. The unit included the Mitsubishi universal remote, an audio/video cable and a coaxial cable and a full warranty. About the only thing not included was the original box. The price, an irresistible $120.00. A good deal? Look at the suggested retail price listed by Mitsubishi.

This is a four-head VHS hi-fi unit. It contains all of the standard features you expect on a good quality VCR deck. I could list them off but don't feel that would offer much insight into this unit.

The unit came with easy to follow directions and was very easy to get hooked up and running. The thing I like best about the unit is the compatibility with the Mitsubishi TV. One universal remote controls both units.

If you are looking for a good quality VCR deck for a reasonable price the HS-U440 comes highly recommended.
