A very good VCR - rewinds very fast- The sound quality is good, the picture quality is good. The unit has front input jacks,and rear input jacks which make it easy to input video from a camcorder or cable TV.
I like the way a new tape can be examined to set recording levels to match the tape.
The feel of the remote control is strange. When using the remote control in the dark it always wind up pointing towards me. The remote shape makes it a bit uncomfortable to use due to the fat battery pack.
One future concern is the cost of replacing the remote control Model HS-U445- The web page www.mitsuparts.com lists it at $47.50 ! Considering I paid $129.00 for the whole unit.
