Unbeatable TV for the price

The Bottom Line:
For the price, this tv is a steal.
I purchased this tv in November of 2008 (it is now 5 months that I have had it). On sale, this TV was $999 at BestBuy, and with some coupons, I was able to get it less than that. For the money, this thing is hands-down the best big screen bargain out there. I have several other flat-panel tvs in my house (both 720p and 1080p lcds) and this thing has the best picture quality.
Pros:
The two biggest advantages of this tv are price and picture quality. It is not uncommon for the TV to be priced around the $1k mark. The picture is superior to the majority of TVs I have compared it too, both projection and LCD. Another great advantage is the "movability" of the device. It is incredibly light weight for its size, coming in at under 60lbs. It weighs substaintailly less than comparable lcd or plasmas. It is not too deep, and fits perfectly on smaller tv stands meant for 50" lcds.
The tv has plenty of inputs for the average person, though I would have liked to see another hdmi or a dvi port as well (I have a ton of equipment hooked to mine).
The TV supports the add-on kit for 3D viewing.
Cons:
Sound quality, it has zero depth to the sound and little bass, very "tin" sounding.
Since it is not a flat panel it cannot be wall mounted (not a big issue, because I would never hang something this big on the wall anyhow).
It does have fans that run to cool it off when you shut it down. A bit odd for your usual TV habits.
