We also had this model go out after only 3 years. The worst part was the lack of customer service from Mitsubishi. We bought this set from Ultimate Electronics and purchased the extended 5 year warranty. After ultimate electronics went bankrupt it was no longer valid. We called mitsubishi and when they found out that we had an extended warranty they REFUSED to help us at all. After 30 mins of horrible customer service they referred us to the Better Business Bureau in the city we live in. We were told we could not speak to a supervisor or even obtain a name of one. After researching this problem with this TV we learned that mitsubishi is using cheap and inferior components in ALL their TV's. Beware of any Mitsubishi Product as they REFUSE to stand behind them.
