If you like FRUSTRATION, buy this TV now!!!

Pros Beautiful picture, digital tuner included
Cons CONSTANTLY moving/dropping channels. Won't learn all local stations
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  Buy a different brand.
First, the good news: this television has a beautiful high definition picture. The user interface is quite lovely. This is especially good, since the bad news is: you'll be using this interface to "learn" channels at least weekly. On a very regular basis, this TV adds additional channels into it's memory without any user intervention. That would be great, if these were new channels. Unfortunately, it usually copies one channel into multiple locations. Today, for instance, I had five channel 27's, all showing the same thing and some of them in the place of another valid channel (21.01) that no longer showed the original station! Problem easily solved (or so you would think). I just had the TV "learn" all available digital channels broadcasting in my area. Unfortunately, after a scan of a couple minutes, it had found every televangelist in the universe, but not the local ABC affiliate. I re-ran the "learn" function. This time it found ABC, but dropped PBS! THIS WENT ON FOR FORTY MINUTES BEFORE FINALLY FINDING ALL THE LOCAL DIGITAL STATIONS. Of course, then I had to delete the televangelists, the Spanish language stations and the channels it found, but then couldn't display. (In this last case, the entire screen flashed blue, then gray, then blue, etc... until it said the channel didn't exist or was off the air! How did it find it and memorize it if it didn't exist or was off the air?!? I contacted the store I bought it from and they put me in touch with the Mitsubishi service center in my area. I spoke to the manager there and he told me this was normal functioning of the unit!
My advice: If you want to use this to watch dvds, it has a great picture and I recommend it for that. If you want to watch digital broadcast television, make sure you have plenty of Valium handy.
