Yes
The Bottom Line:
Buy one or whatever model is similar and current. Most folks will not experience any problems.
I always thought opinion sites brought out the negative folks while the people that are happy just go about using their product in happiness without a second thought to go write a review. After reading the bad reviews here I know it is true. My WS-55613 is a great TV. It was our first HDTV and we bought is two+ years ago. Mine did drop signals but only on the rabbit ears until I could get HD Cable hooked up a week later. Since then, no problem. As for picture and sound WOW! I still go into Costco and stand in front of all those new HDTVs and marvel at just how good my picture is. I honestly think my rear projection picture is better that those Plasma Screens in many cases. I also know two other people with the same TV only one year older and they both love theirs as well. We never have to argue which house to go watch the big game at, because we all get such a nice picture. Sound wise , it seems to have a nice audio driver. Of course I run movie and sports sound through my surround sound stereo but just watching the news or discovery channel we listen to the built in speakers. No complaint. They do exactly what they are asked to do. As for size sure it's big but that is what it is. Not a surprise. That does make it hard to steal.
