Nicely Priced Big Screen!
Pros
Big screen, reasonably priced, no bulbs to replace, EXCELLENT picture, multiple inputs & HD tuner.
Cons
Screen burn, must be eye level to watch, & cabinet is big.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
If you can still find one, you can get a big screen for a lot less than the newer technologies.
This TV is GREAT! Watching a movie on this 65" TV is great. It is a simple looking TV, nothing to fancy. Until you turn it on! The cabinet is standard size for a CRT projection TV. The picture quality is excellent. This 65" TV uses the old CRT technology and the results are great! It has a TON of inputs which is awesome. I bought a HD-DVD player, and was impressed! Any HD program that is broadcast in 1080i is really nice looking. Just make sure you are seated eye level with the TV. Because if you like to lie on the floor and watch TV, it get really hard to see. On the plus side, unlike all LCOS and DLP TV's that require you to change the lamp after so many hours, this has NO lamp to replace! You could run this for years!
I'm mostly satisfied with my purchase. I guess my biggest complaint is that as with all CRT's, you have to be careful of screen burn. I'm seeing a very faint Disney logo (I hate Disney now) in the lower corner of the screen. I have an LCD TV also, and although it is not as bright as the LCD, the picture quality is WAY better than the LCD! You can really tell when you watch a movie with alot of action, while watching sports, no blur! If you want a big picture for a reasonable price, and have the room, this 65" CRT TV is the the way to go!
