Monster TV at its Funnest

Pros it's big and pretty and technologically great; LOVE the pip options
Cons it's expensive & until the broadcast technology catches up, the edges will be fisheyed.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  It's worth the money, for picture quality and sound quality.
We looked everywhere for a TV. And looked at what seemed like every TV on the planet and this was the only one that we both liked. It's my second Mitsubishi big screen. The last one is still kicking after almost 15 years (in June) and still doing great. I hope this one is equally trouble free!

The access to the back panel is good, there is enough space on the top to stack components (and no telltale screen pulling either). Volume and picture clarity even on not so great signals is good. For video it's fabulous!!

The picture in picture gives you lots of options, including half and half screens. The manual doesn't tell you that you will have A and B for cable and you'll only be able to have A on the left screen and B on the right screen (and therefore only have sound on the A channel), but it's workable. It takes a little finagling to get it sorted out, but I figured it out in about 20 minutes. Anything else can work with the A or B channel on the left side. The other glitch in set up was that the manual doesn't tell you about the loop (cable into Antenna A, loop out to VCR, VCR into Antenna B). But it took tech support about a minute to explain it to me and it worked fine as soon as we set it up that way. The remote also works everything from our Sony CD changer/receiver, our Toshiba DVD, and our 15 year old NEC VCR.

We also considered Sony and Toshiba, but this had hands down the best picture quality.

I'm pleased with the TV, as is my husband the electronics hound. I think I might like it just as much as he does, but I'll never tell him that! ;-)
