I'll never watch Pan and Scan again :o)

Pros Absolutely fantastic picture and features
Cons Wish that I would have gotten one sooner
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you have the means, by all means--buy all means. :o)
The 65907 is incredible. DVDs, especially using a progressive scan play, are beautiful. Regular cable content shows off artifacts (as to be expected) in the picture. Seriously, you should purchase this television if you are an early adopter for HDTV or you watch a lot of widescreen content. If you watch mostly regular TV, you will not see the benefit.
Though Mitsubishi does a great job of stretching the square picture of most content out there, the 65907 is at its best with widescreen pictures. The disproportionate stretching technique is only noticable when the edges of the picture have an indicator. For example, the yardline on a football field will actually bend. This will change in time with more programming, including sports, being offered in widescreen format.
The sound is excellent too. I was pleasantly surprised with the spatial feeling that the speakers offer. The screen lenses are sharp and provide a picture with no hot spots. I am very, very pleased with it. I just wish I would have purchased it sooner.
One especially useful feature is the dual tuner picture in picture options. What is really nice is that two pan and scan pictures fit very nicely in a side by side arrangement on the widescreen. I almost prefer watching two shows rather than stretching one out.
Referring again to DVDs, I have sincerely enjoyed watching movies at home. I used to always complain about watching movies at home because of the widescreen formatting on a pan and scan television. Needless to say, those black bars don't bug me anymore. The expand function reduces or eliminates them from the watching experience.
As for HDTV, remember that there are many shows out there in it yet. Moreover, you will need some kind of HDTV decoder/receiver for the signal. Satellite systems are ready for it, but currently don't offer much in the format. The true advantages of this television will shine when HDTV becomes more prevalent.
