was looking for a good widescreen TV for about a year, and watching prices when this model caught my eye.
Most widescreens were about this price anyway, and with HDTV capability as well, this was a great purchase.
I have seven video sources hooked up, some routed through my amp/receiver, but this TV handles everything smoothly: cable 1 and 2 (for PIP), DVD, VHS, Playstation, video camera surveillance, and digital camera hook-up.
Even the remote works great, running almost all my components as well as my Sony programmable (the big one) remote.
You can even do pretty serious adjustments through the set-up functions: renaming input modes, selecting channel memories, adjusting the alignment, PIP channel selection, etc.
One of my favorite features is the "Zoom" mode to make normal 4:3 TV programs fit the 16:9 aspect of the screen. Just like Pan and Scan, but reversed, some heads a clipped off; and if you don't like that you can run three PIP windows alongside a 4:3 image and it will scroll through the channels for you.
