Hi everyone,
This I bought this TV back in oct. 2001. I love it! It has one of the most beautiful pictures I have seen on a projection TV. Its very easy to use, and its smaller size does not intimidate you like some of the larger sets. It has enough inputs to hook up all of your gear including a set of composite jacks on the front, like for a camcorder. The clearity of the set at close range is unmatched, that is the main reason I purchased it. I use it in my small bedroom, it is roughly 8-9 feet away from my head, and about 2 feet from the bottem of the bed. I can lay at the foot of my bed without sacrificing and of the picture quality of the set. It featured HDTV compatability, 3 sets of digital inputs, PIP, universal remote with ligh up keys, virtual suround sound....and many other attributes.(Mainly the picture, but isnt that how we pick our TV's? :)
Now you didnt think this TV was perfect did you? Well here goes with the bad, not much though. First when you buy the set, you will need a large stand, most stored will have have this tv displayed on its matching stand, IT IS NOT INCLUDED. You can pick it up for between $100-$150, however where I purchased my tv they were selling it for $300!! Needless to say I bought it elsewhere. Besides the stand, I have only 1 other complaint (besides it weighing 200 pounds.)The TV does not have an a autofocus button like the sony's and hitachi's, still has a better picture. So I have a slight ghost on my screen, I have called mitsu service to come out to the house, 3 different people, all said it was fine!! BUT, these are sub-contactors, they do not work for mitsu directly, so i cannot blame mitsu, all the technicians were just idiots. Mitsu is willing to send anyone I choose to come out, so im in process of finding a non-idiot..lol
