A Good Phone For Fat Fingers...BUT...

bytebush Nov 30, 2008
Pros Raised buttons, clear reception, good basic phone if you are using it for calls only.
Cons Battery life shorter than anticipated.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  A good basic phone if you don't want to use the music feature--will likely drain battery even more than normal use does. Attractive, like the raised buttons.
I'll just come right out and say it. I have fat fingers and the reason I chose this phone was because I want buttons that are slightly raised, a feature that has become increasingly difficult in the evolution of cell phones. This phone was my one of two choices I felt were good for that reason (along with the LG VX8350). I do like the spacing and slight raised edge of the buttons for sure. Fat-fingered folks like myself, rejoice!

I did not choose this phone for music or other "special" features, although apparently I can download music onto this phone, but just haven't bothered with that. I'm actually glad, because I don't think the battery could take it.  That is my MAJOR COMPLAINT about this phone--you pretty much need to charge this puppy every day. You can easily go from four bars charge to three in 8 hours or less, which I find annoying.

My previous phone was an LG VX8300 (thus was born the love of raised buttons) and it was a slightly more compact phone, but I did download music onto it and the battery life was significantly better than the W755 Motorola phone.

I'm happy with the phone overall as a basic cell phone, but when I upgrade in a few months, I am going back to an LG model, which appears, from my experience, to have a much better life.

Other minor annoyances:  the port for the charger is covered by this flat rubber plug that only a woman with fingernails can get undone. The "ring then announce" feature does not appear to be working. Two to three months into use, the charger was deemed as "corroted" and would not charge the phone. Verizon replaced it for free, which was very nice.
