Best phone available at the moment with Verizon

Pros design, call clarity is phenomenal, speakerphone
Cons texting iTAP
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Great phone!
I tried two different phones (using my New Every Two deal) and both were awful LG phones. I finally went into the store (as I'd been using the internet before) and looked for a phone. I finally settled on the Moto W755, even though I've been a hardcore LG fan for the past four years.

Aesthetics
This phone looks great! I have the purple version and it's a beautiful cover, with an attractive clam shell shape. It's wider than your average cell phone (or maybe it just feels that way), which takes a little getting used to, but feels heavy enough to make you comfortable with the model. The past phones (specifically the LG 8350) I tried felt like Mattel plastic toys, they were so light and cheap feeling. Inside, the display is nice and large and its black interior is sleek and shiny, not a dull matte. The one con is that the display screen is easily smeared/smudged.

Features
The menus are standard Verizon menus, but they come in a variety of colours to choose from. The speakers are on the back of the phone, which to me is a draw back, but you can still hear from them just fine! Suprisingly! That was one of the biggest complaints that I had with the other two awful phones (the LG 8350 and the LG 5400); I wake to my cell phone alarm and I couldn't hear it on the other two. On this phone, I can hear it and boy does it wake me up! :) There are loads more ringtones to choose from, too, that are already programmed on your phone. Which is really nice. Speakerphone is great! You can also use speakerphone WITH the phone closed!!! This is really fun.

Media
It does have the music player, but I don't and won't use it due to the fact that it costs a ton! Plus, that's what I've got an iPod for. (Besides the ripoff of downloading music and the surcharge to use the VCast with Verizon, you will not be able to load music from your computer onto this phone. Though, technically, you're supposed to be able to, you will get a lovely error message saying it is not supported. Same goes for photos you'd like as backgrounds.)

Texting
The kepyad is great. It has raised keys and is big enough that my fingers (average lady size) don't hit wrong keys. The downside is that the T-9 entry isn't T-9. It's iTAP, an annoying programme that tells you the word (similar to T-9) - except that you can't hit "0" to scroll through the words. Instead, it finishes the supposed word for you and you can't change through them to find the one you want. Drives me NUTS! So, I'm texting much less. Which, I suppose, is fine.

Call Clarity
This is the entire reason I took back the other two phones. I'm thrilled if there are other features, but the most important thing to me about a cell phone is the call clarit. I mean, really, if you can't hear the person on the other end well, what's the point of being able to play music on your phone?!?! The call clarity on the Moto W755 is fabulous!

Battery Life/Reception
I get bars in places that local residents don't. But, maybe that's just Verizon's network. Though, I've not seen anyone following me in a Verizon t-shirt... Battery life could be better. On my former LG 5200, I would be able to go at least three days without having to charge the battery. On the Moto W755, I can't go more than two with minimal talking. Which is annoying, but overall it's worth it for two years at least.

This is definitely the best cheap-ish phone on the market with Verizon right now and I'm very happy with the Moto W755 although, if LG starts making better phones again, I'll probably switch back to good ol' LG in two years.
