A Real Good Razr Cell Phone
Pros
2 Megapixel camera, internal micro-SD card (optional), music player, large screen
Cons
Text entry modes are clumsy, missing expected Motorola menu customizations, battery life is only average.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
This is a great phone that I would recommend to most everyone, however it could be a little more "polished"
I like this phone much better than the W385. More features, better camera (does video too), larger screen (internal and external). The user interface is very similar on both phones. Sending text messages with the VE20 could be streamlined better, but it works well enough. Phone connected easily with my computer (must have motorola phone tools) and MP3's work well for ringtones. Internal memory is more than enough for the average user unless you want to listen to music, then you will need a microSD card. The VE20 holds tons of contacts and allows you to display a color image as a wallpaper on both the internal and external screens. The external screen is a touch screen in the lower section, which is pretty neat.
Ok, there is one thing I really liked about my old motorola (V323) that the VE20 doesn't do. On my old phone, if I set a custom ringtone for an person and they sent me a text message I would hear the custom ringtone. On the Motorola Razr VE20 when I set a custom ringtone for a person I hear it when they call, but when they text message me I hear the ringtone that is configured for any received text message. Also the VE20 won't let me change from Ring to vibrate while the phone is closed, I have to flip it open.
