Not what I expected
Pros
lightweight capable of charging and using auxilliary at same time, OK camera
Cons
cheap construction, dim screens, loss of capability from former models
Recommended it?
No
I bought this phone because my ROKR's send button was starting to not work half the time. I'd had it for 2 years and it was time for a new phone. I'd heard alot of buzz online and in advertisement from my phone company and it sounded like it had all the features of the ROKR and it was a flip phone (which I prefer to the slide phones), so I purchased the VE20. Boy, was I disappointed. With the ROKR, I could use files stored on my memory card as ringtones. Not so with the VE20 or if you can I've yet to discover how to do it. You do have the convenience of being able to charge the phone and use earphones or have it plugged into speaker at the same time like you can with the ROKR. But it just seems cheap and flimsy in construction compared to the ROKR and other Motorola phones I have had in the past.
The screens seem to be much dimmer and not as good quality as my previous phone as well. I really don't like the phone at all. In comparison to the former versions of the RAZR, it just looks and feels cheap! Motorola could have done much better with the Motorazr VE20. Why not improve upon previous models rather than making a cheaper version? Not impressed. The camera does take pretty decent photos for a cell though.
