Motorola MicroTAC 650 Cell Phone

My wife and I each own this model of cell phone. For my wife, it is convenient to put in her purse and not worry about bumping buttons on due to the flip feature. Also, having two of the same model simplifies chargers, batteries car cords, etc. It is convenient to simply close the flip to disconnect a call rather than having to hunt for the end button. The battery, however, seems to be the weakest link of this model. Charge time varies and developing a memory is a problem with this battery. Also, the phone has a tendency to shut itself off for no apparent reason. The battery appears to fit in the phone well, but after some use, will become loose and cause untimely disconnects. Also, the adapter for the car cord has a tendency to loosen at the power supply end and to become lodged in the auxiliary output.
Overall, the phone is heavy but tough.
